Dave and Nick: Where Did It All Go Right?
Monday, May 17th on Five at 10pm
Five has a commissioned a Five News Special fast turnaround one hour documentary about the two men at the centre of the historic political coalition, it was announced today (FRI).
In Dave and Nick: Where Did It All Go Right, Five News' Chief Correspondent Jonathan Samuels tells the fascinating story of the unlikely partnership of Britain's new Prime Minister, David Cameron and his deputy, Nick Clegg. He delves into the backbiting, the fighting, and the courting and romancing which finally led two sworn political enemies to their tryst in the Rose Garden of Number 10.
Inspired by the extraordinary double header press conference which ushered in the first coalition Government since the war, this documentary will tell viewers more about both men and their personal and political backgrounds.
Samuels will ask if these two public school boys really have anything in common apart from a privileged education, super-achieving wives and a thirst for political power. Are they Westminster's answer to Ant and Dec? Will they last as long as Brad and Angelina? And finally, is it true romance or just a shotgun wedding?
The documentary will include interviews with Lembit Opik, Boris Johnson, Kathy Lette, Toby Young, Dick & Dom and Five News' Political Editor Andy Bell, who asked the infamous 'joke' question in the Rose Garden at Number 10.
This programme comes three weeks after Five's successful fast-turnaround documentary, Volcanic Ash: Flight of Terror, which performed well above slot average with 1.7million viewers and a 9.1 per cent share amongst all viewers.
Dave and Nick: Where Did it All Go Right is a Five News production for Five. The programme is edited by David Kermode and produced by Krishna Govender, Ian Jones and Matt Etheridge.

TRAVEL LIGHT AND SLEEP TIGHT WITH THE ULTRALITE RANGE OF LIGHTWEIGHT SLEEPING BAGS FROM VANGO

Whether you are travelling around the globe or taking part in a mountain marathon where every kilogram counts, lighten the load with the Ultralite series of sleeping bag from Vango.
Offering the ideal fusion of technical performance and comfort features, the Ultralites are great for travellers and adventurers who need to travel fast and light. Featuring updated styling for 2010, the range features on the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Recommended Kit List.
The Ultralite range uses omega shaping to hug the body and prevent heat loss as well as an arrow foot design with multi-cord hood closure and a two way autolock zip.
All bags feature an internal pocket with Velcro closure to keep your valuables safe and sound as well as a three panel 3D hood for added warmth and comfort. For durability the outer fabric is made from a tough Polair ripstop nylon and for warmth and comfort the lining features Polair mini RSN lining.
For warmer seasons and climates the Ultralite 100 (£50) is a two season sleeping that weighs just 800g. Filled with Insulite® Superfine insulation for maximum warmth without the bulk, the bag packs down into a neat little bundle ideal for travel and weighs only 800g including compression sac, suggested usage between 7°c to 25°c.
If you are looking for something a little warmer, the two to three season Ultralite 200 (£55) has a suggested usage between 5°c to 20°c and weighs 925 g including compression sac.
For cooler weather the Ultralite 300, 1200g (£60) three season sleeping has a suggested usage between 2°c to 20°c and the three to four season Ultralite 400, 1375g (£70) provides the ultimate warmth in Ultralight bags, ideal in temperatures from -2°c to 20°c. For added warmth both bags feature an insulated shoulder baffle to prevent heat loss.
The Ultralite series provides minimum weight and maximum warmth thanks to the Thermic Loft System which uses a minimum of stitching through the insulation to eliminate cold spots and ensure maximum efficiency. The fill is constructed using a layering technique which combines classic synthetic insulation with a new interlocked lattice construction to produce highly effective insulation system.
All sleeping bags in the Ultralite range measure 215cm in length, feature an 80cm chest width and a foot width of 50cm. Each bag in the range comes complete with a 4-strap compression stuffsac for easy storage and transportation and temperature ratings recommended for each model are independently measured in accordance with EN: 13537:2002.
